Hereford gets polling station for Polish elections

Polish people will be able to vote in their country's elections in Herefordshire for the first time in October.

A special polling booth manned by volunteers will be open at the Kindle Centre, on Belmont Road in Hereford.

The polling station is one of 43 being set up across the UK.

Dominika Lipska, who works with the Polish community, said: "Voting in person can seem much more meaningful than voting by post."

"A polling station here in Hereford means that we don't have too far to travel."

The polling station will be open from 07:00 until 21:00 BST on Sunday, 9 October.
