Woman robbed in Worcestershire after car flagged down

A woman was robbed of money and other items in front of her two children after their car was flagged down in Worcestershire.

She was left "extremely shocked" after the incident, in which she was assaulted in Hockham's Lane, Martley, police said.

The woman stopped her green 4x4 after a man and a woman got out of a dirty white car and stood in the road.

A purse containing cards, a ring, a sat nav and CDs were among the items taken.

The offenders made off towards Ockeridge following the incident, which happened at about 12:00 BST on Tuesday.

They were both described as white with eastern European accents.

The West Mercia force said local policing officers and community support officers would be in the area to reassure residents.
