Christopher Vivian cleared of killing chef James Ball

A man has been cleared of killing a chef who was stabbed in a hostel in Herefordshire.

James Ball, 30, died in hospital after being found at the hostel in Copse Cross Street, Ross-on-Wye in March.

Christopher Vivian, 23, from Copse Croft Street, was cleared at Nottingham Crown Court of manslaughter.

Det Insp Martyn Barnes of West Mercia Police said: "We will not be pursuing further investigations."
