Fire at Throckmorton tip in Worcestershire tackled

About 50 firefighters have tackled a blaze at a Worcestershire tip.

The fire, involving about 300 tonnes of recyclable garden waste, was difficult to contain at the Throckmorton site due to high winds, the Hereford and Worcester service said.

It was called to the blaze in Bishampton Road, Throckmorton, at 17:40 BST on Sunday and the fire was put out within 11 hours.

Six fire engines were sent to the scene of the blaze.

The cause is being investigated.
