A second arrest has been made in connection with the death of a man in a fire at a flat in Worcester.

West Mercia Police said a man in his 30s had been arrested in Worcester on Friday evening and remained in custody.

A man in his 20s arrested following the fire at Chedworth Close, Warndon, on 14 December was released on Saturday after questioning, police said.

The victim was formally identified on Friday as 52-year-old Andrew Heath, who lived in the flat.

The police said they believed the fire, which broke out early on Wednesday morning, had been started deliberately.

Mr Heath's death is being treated as suspicious.

Det Ch Insp Paul Williamson said: "We are still piecing together what has happened and we need to know as much as possible about Mr Heath and his life."
