Concern is growing for a missing Herefordshire woman.

A search operation was launched on Friday after Alethea Taylor, 63, from Orleton, failed to return home.

Ch Insp Adam Thomas from West Mercia Police said: "We believe she is vulnerable and there are concerns about her mental state."

"We are most grateful for the help we are receiving and it really is helping us cover more ground than we would using our own resources," he added.

The Longtown Mountain Rescue team brought dogs to join in with the search on Monday.

One resident, Jimmy Morgan, said leaflets were printed and handed out over the weekend and that hundreds of people, including some from outside of the village, had been taking part in the search.
