Barnt Green crash victim over alcohol limit

A 31-year-old man killed in a car crash in north Worcestershire was over the legal alcohol limit for driving, an inquest has heard.

James Ansell, from Cofton Hackett, died when his Peugeot collided with a VW Beetle in Barnt Green in November.

The inquest in Stourport-on-Severn heard that Mr Ansell crossed into the path of the oncoming vehicle on Kendal End Road and died at the scene.

Coroner Geraint Williams ruled that Mr Ansell's death was accidental.

A female driver and her male passenger were treated at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
