Hereford and Worcester Fire Service in major incident training
Amputee actors will be taking part in a major incident training exercise organised by Hereford and Worcester Fire Service.
Art and design students will also be acting as casualties, using make-up for injuries, at the exercise being held this weekend in Gloucester.
It will be based on an scenario of an explosion at a university campus.
Crews from Shropshire, Gloucester, South Wales and Merseyside will take part.
The training, known as Exercise Olympus, is to be held at the Fire Service College in Moreton-in-Marsh.
Observers from the National Resilience Centre will be attending, the fire service said.
The usual level of fire cover will be in place across Herefordshire and Worcestershire during the exercise, the spokesman added.
