Grenade found on roof of building in Solihull

Bomb disposal experts were called to deal with a grenade spotted on the roof of a building in the West Midlands.

Officers were sent to Church Hill Road in Solihull at about 11:15 BST and set up a 100m (328ft) cordon.

Parts of Church Hill Road, Homer Road and New Road were closed while the device was examined.

The grenade was later made secure and roads reopened. Police said an investigation would look at how the grenade got there.
