Woman sexually assaulted in Rubery charity shop

A woman has been sexually assaulted in a charity shop in Worcestershire.

The attack happened in the Barnardos shop in New Road, Rubery, on Saturday at about 16:45 BST.

West Mercia Police said the man entered the shop with a notice which said he was deaf and asked for a donation from the woman.

The woman told him she had no money, at which point the attacker put his arms around her, she then pushed him and he sexually assaulted her.

PC John Coleman said they knew the man had visited other shops in the area that day and urged witnesses to come forward.

The attacker is described as white, in his late 30s, about 5ft 4in tall with a broad chest and short, dark hair.

He was wearing a navy blue baseball cap, light-coloured tracksuit trousers a pale blue T-shirt and was carrying a navy shoulder bag.
