Herefordshire and Worcestershire will continue gritting
Fresh stock of salt will be delivered to Herefordshire to ensure roads can continue to be gritted, the council have said.
Herefordshire Council said it is expecting 1,500 tons of salt this week, and another 1,000 tons next week.
Worcestershire County Council's highways department said it has used 4,000 tons of grit and will continue to treat roads that need attention.
More than 50 schools were closed or partially closed in the two counties.
Worcestershire's highways manager Jon Fraser said: "There are still plenty of roads that need attention and we'll continue to do those as best we can."
He said inspectors will be working through the night, keeping a particular eye on high ground.
Clive Hall, head of highways in Herefordshire, said they will start building up grit stocks in case there is "a repeat of the last few days within the next month or so".
Hereford United's game at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday has been called off.
