Charge after body of Louise Evans found near stairs

A 34-year-old man has been charged with murdering a woman who was found dead at the bottom of the stairs at her Worcestershire home.

Louise Evans, 32, was discovered at home in Stoney Lane, Kidderminster, on 10 July.

Alan Evans, also of Stoney Lane, was arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after the death and was charged by police on Tuesday.

He is due to appear before Worcester Crown Court on Friday.
