Teenage girls sexually assaulted in Rubery

Two teenagers were sexually assaulted in separate attacks within a couple of hours of each other by someone police believe was the same man.

The girls were attacked in Rubery, Worcestershire, on Thursday.

The first attack happened in New Inns Lane at about 08:00 BST while the second was in an alleyway in Barrington Road at about 09:40.

The attacker is described to be white, aged about 18 to 20, about 6ft tall and slim with short dark hair.

He was wearing a black T-shirt and baggy dark jeans or trousers, police said.

Det Con Mark Lazenby, of West Mercia Police, said although Rubery was generally a built-up area, both attacks had taken place in secluded locations.

He urged women and girls to avoid walking alone in such areas.
