Herefordshire heart transplant refuser promotes donors

A girl from Herefordshire who gained worldwide attention after refusing a heart transplant at the age of 13 is now encouraging more people to join the donor register.

Health officials took Hannah Jones and her family to court over the issue before she decided to have the operation a year later.

Now aged 18, she said she is glad she changed her mind and wants other people to consider organ donation.

Her mother, Kirsty Jones, said she is very proud and loves seeing her daughter enjoying her life.
