Stop and search retraining promise by West Midlands Police

21 September 2013 Last updated at 14:23 BST

All front-line officers are to be retrained in the use of stop and search, West Midlands Police have said.

Representatives from the black community met with police to raise their concerns at a summit on Friday called by the Police and Crime Commissioner for the West Midlands, Bob Jones.

Mr Jones said: "We can still look and try and get better information about whether we are using stop and search smartly...to reassure the community, or, if it isn't the case, to try and do something about it."
