Dormington woman dies after being hit by car

A woman pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in a village, West Midlands Ambulance Service had said.

Emergency services were called to Dormington, Herefordshire, on Friday evening.

Two land ambulances, the Midlands Air Ambulance and two trauma doctors treated the woman at the scene, but she died on her way to hospital.

It is thought she had a cardiac arrest after being hit, an ambulance service spokesman said.

West Mercia Police are investigating, the force said.

The road has now reopened.
