Worcester bin lorry death inquest opens

A woman hit by a dustbin lorry died from multiple injuries to her head, chest and abdomen, an inquest has heard.

Sylvia Russell, 69, of Dent Close, Worcester, was hit by the refuse truck just before 09:20 BST on 29 September.

A hearing at Worcestershire Coroner's Court heard she was pronounced dead at the scene in the Shambles in Worcester city centre.

The inquest into Ms Russell's death was opened and adjourned on Monday.
