Flavours of Herefordshire Festival cancelled due to 'spiralling costs'
An annual Herefordshire food festival has been cancelled due to lack of sponsors and "spiralling costs".
The Flavours of Herefordshire Festival has been held in Hereford since 2006. Last year it attracted 38,000 visitors.
Originally funded by the European Union, it has been run for four years by Visit Herefordshire, a not-for-profit company promoting tourism.
Chairman Alan Curless said it has had to "re-evaluate" the events it stages in the light of the "economic climate".
