Arrest after Kidderminster man dies of head injuries

A man has died after paramedics found him with serious head injuries that sparked a police investigation.

An ambulance was called to Offmore Road, Kidderminster, at about 20:30 GMT on Friday.

The man, 55, was taken to hospital but died on Saturday. Hospital staff alerted police because of the extent of his injuries.

A 22-year-old has been arrested in connection with the "suspicious" death, West Mercia Police confirmed.

Det Insp John Cashion said: "We're currently keeping an open mind about the cause of death and we're keen to speak to anyone who has any information that could help us with our inquiries."
