Teenager, 18, appears in court in Grimsby after attack

A man has appeared in court charged in connection with an attack on a 69-year-old woman.

Pat Swales needed 60 stitches and suffered a dislocated shoulder after an attack at her home in Revesby Avenue, Grimsby, on 21 June.

An 18-year-old man appeared at Grimsby Magistrates' Court charged with aggravated burglary and wounding with intent.

He was remanded in custody and is due at Grimsby Crown Court on 23 July.

Mrs Swales also had jewellery stolen during the incident.
