Teams increased to fix potholes across East Yorkshire

The number of teams fixing potholes across East Yorkshire has been increased following the cold weather.

The number of highways engineering teams has increased from ten to 14, to repair potholes across the region.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council is responsible for 3,500km (2,100 miles) of roads.

Councillor Matthew Grove said December's weather had "taken a toll" on the roads, requiring "additional resources in responding to the damage".
