Crown court date for Scunthorpe fatal crash case

An 18-year-old man will appear at a crown court charged with causing the deaths of two 16-year-olds in a car crash in Scunthorpe.

Joshua Parkin and Laura McGowan, both from Brigg, were killed when the car they were in collided with a lorry on Dawes Lane in August.

Adam Stephen Kerr, 18, of St Hybalds Grove at Scawby Brigg are due before Grimsby Crown Court on 28 March.

North Lincolnshire magistrates gave Mr Kerr unconditional bail.

A 16-year-old girl was treated for serious injuries in the incident and the driver of the HGV, a 30-year-old man, was treated for non-life threatening injuries following the collision.
