Suspicious device found on North East Lincolnshire ATMs

A number of suspicious devices have been found on cash machines in North East Lincolnshire which enable thieves to steal money.

Humberside Police said suspicious devices had been found attached to ATMs on eight occasions.

The devices feature a silver strip placed over the cash dispenser preventing money from being ejected.

It is believed thieves wait nearby and remove the strip and cash when the customer has gone.

The police said the devices appeared to be "easily installed" and well disguised.

They have urged cash machine users to remain vigilant and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
