Hydrotherapy treatment for injured east Yorkshire fox
A rescued fox cub is being nursed back to health in the East Riding of Yorkshire with the help of a hydrotherapy pool.
Basil was found trapped inside a crisp packet and suffering from dehydration and a broken hip.
She is being treated at a veterinary practice in Swanland, near Hull, and has daily swimming sessions designed to strengthen her hip.
It is hoped she will make a full recovery and be returned to the wild.
Vet, John Levison, said: "Our aim is not to make this a pet, it is to get the little girl released.
"The quicker we can get her back in the wild, then the less chance she has of relying on people or being too friendly with people."
