Thieves steal copper pipes from Grimsby house

Thieves have broken into a home and caused flooding after they tore up floor boards to steal the copper piping carrying water supplies in the house.

Humberside Police said thieves targeted the house on Strotford Street in Grimsby where they forced their way into the building.

Officers said floor boards were "ripped up" and the piping stolen, leading to water leaks that damaged the house.

Police believe the thieves had been watching the property for some time.
