Job fears as Gilberdyke firm Britspace enters administration

Up to 200 jobs in east Yorkshire are under threat after a construction company went into administration.

Britspace in Gilberdyke had suffered from "significant cash flow difficulties", its administrators said.

No redundancies have been announced and Britspace continues to trade as a going concern.

The company has been trading since 1972 and specialises in manufacturing modular buildings and bathroom pods.

David Thornhill, from administrators, FRP Advisory, said: "To protect the business, Britspace has entered administration; currently no redundancies have been made and it continues to trade as a going concern.

"We are working hard with Britspace's management team to find a buyer for the business, and are hopeful it will attract a number of interested parties."
