Woman and child hurt on Bridlington's Jungle River ride

A woman and her granddaughter have been injured on a ride at an East Yorkshire seaside resort.

The woman, in her 60s, suffered severe leg injuries on the Jungle River log flume ride on the seafront in Bridlington at about 15:15 BST.

She was airlifted to Hull Royal Infirmary, while the girl was taken to Scarborough Hospital with cuts to her legs.

Police say the pair are from South Yorkshire.
