Grimsby house attacked after alleged dog abuse web video
A man has been arrested after a crowd gathered outside a house in Stanley Street, Grimsby after a video of alleged animal abuse was posted online.
Humberside Police said a 36-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday night in connection with the footage.
Police said they are also investigating another incident in which an object was thrown at the property, smashing a window.
A dog was removed from the house and put into the care of an animal charity.
Humberside Police said: "Incidents involving video footage apparently being used to incite a reaction from local residents, are taken very seriously particularly when they have, as in this instance, resulted in public order problems at the address involved.
"Anyone with concerns such as these should contact the police so that officers can take appropriate action.
"Members of the public should not take matters into their own hands."
