North Lincolnshire Central Library will reopen on Monday after a seven-week closure to allow demolition of a multi-storey car park.

Work on knocking down the Carlton Street car park started in November in order to free up the area for future prime development.

Demolition has now finished and work on clearing up the site will start.

The council said the site would be grassed over until a decision was made on how it would be used.

Simon Driver, chief executive at North Lincolnshire Council, said: "This work has now been completed and we will open the library from Monday where it will be business as usual."
