The family of a missing Hull woman have appealed for information to help find her.

Diann Conboy, 47, was last seen at her home in Ashthorpe, Hull, at about 14:00 GMT on Tuesday 20 December.

In a statement, Ms Conboy's family asked for anyone with information about her whereabouts to urgently contact Humberside Police.

Ms Conboy is described as white, 5ft 3ins (1.6m) tall, with a slim build and short mousey brown hair.

In a statement, Ms Conboy's family said they were "extremely worried" about her.

They said that for her to stay away from her family for such a length of time was out of character.

'Get in touch'

Ms Conboy's family said they were "missing our mum, daughter, sister and friend".

They appealed for local residents to check their sheds, garages and outbuildings.

Ms Conboy's father also made a direct appeal to his daughter.

"All we want is for you to get in touch with any of us just to let us know you are safe and well," he said.

"Then we can get the help you desperately need."

Det Ch Insp Simon Walker, from Hull's public protection unit, said police had carried out a number of searches for Ms Conboy and that no more were planned unless new information was received from members of the public or from looking at CCTV footage.

He said there had been one unconfirmed sighting of Ms Conboy in the Ellerburn Avenue area of Hull at about 10:00 GMT on Friday 23 December but that sighting was yet to be verified.
