Hull Warmsure office to cut 150 jobs
About 150 jobs are to go in Hull after an energy firm said it was shutting its office in the city.
Carillion Energy Services, which says it is the UK's largest supplier of heating and renewable energy, said it would close its Hull Warmsure office.
It said the move came after the government decided to halve the amount of money people received for selling solar energy to the national grid.
A spokesperson said "every effort" would be made to relocate employees.
Carillion launched a 90-day consultation with employees in December when it announced jobs were at risk.
Previously, ministers said the decision to cut the so-called "feed-in tariff" was intended to make subsidies sustainable given that the cost of solar panels was falling.
