Flooded Hull playing fields get Olympic legacy cash

Playing fields in Hull that were severely damaged by flooding are to be brought back into use.

More than £30,000 is to be spent restoring a cricket pitch and two football pitches on Oak Road which have been unusable since June 2007.

A similar amount will be spent creating an additional football pitch at Ings View Sports Field in Gilberdyke.

The money is part of £95,000 of Olympic legacy funding Sport England is spending across Yorkshire.
