A 27-year-old British man has fallen to his death from a hotel window on the Spanish island of Ibiza.

Michael White, from Scunthorpe, is believed to have slipped from his fourth-floor room in San Antonio sometime overnight on Tuesday.

His body was discovered the next morning.

His mother Tina Waring, who is flying out to the holiday resort with other family members later, said she was "absolutely heartbroken".

Mr White was on a four-day stag party holiday with friends and had only arrived in the resort on the day before his death.

Ms Waring said that the circumstances surrounding her son's death were unclear.

'Brilliant, lovely lad'

"They don't really know exactly what happened," she said.

"They just think he has been taken ill in the night and went to the window for a bit of air and just fell out."

She paid tribute to her son, who she described as "one in a million".

"He never had a bad word to say about anybody," she said.

"He was just such a brilliant, lovely lad and he would do absolutely anything that you asked.

"I just don't know how we are going to get over it. I just miss him so much."
