Hull's Endeavour High School 'in last chance saloon'
A Hull secondary school is to be placed in special measures for the third time with its head admitting it must "improve or close".
Ten-year-old Endeavour High School's head Stewart Edgell admits the latest Ofsted inspection leaves it in "the last chance saloon".
Hull City Council said it was disappointed by the inspection.
Last year, the council discussed closing the school as low pupil numbers left it "not financially viable".
John Readman, corporate director of children services at Hull City Council, said: "We are very disappointed with the result of the Endeavour Ofsted.
"The head has already made rapid improvements and the city council is working with the Department for Education and the governing body to consider options and strategies for the future.
"The school and the local authority will keep parents, carers and local residents updated with future plans and progress."
