Driver killed as car hits tree at Rawcliffe

A man died when the car he was travelling in left the road and hit a tree.

The single-vehicle accident happened on the A645 road near Rawcliffe in East Yorkshire on Friday evening.

Humberside Police said the 34-year-old man from Stainforth, who was driving a Renault Twingo, died at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Officers want to speak to the drivers of two VW Golf vehicles who stopped to offer assistance following the crash.
