East Yorkshire cycle path to be built

A new off-road cycle path is to be built in East Yorkshire with a government grant of nearly £900,000.

The new path will comprise two sections from the outskirts of Beverley alongside the A1035 to the White Cross roundabout.

The £868,000 is part of the Department of Transport's Cycle Safety Fund.

Once this section is complete it will be possible to cycle from Hull to Leven and Brandesburton off-road. Work is expected to begin later this year.
