Scunthorpe man in court charged with OAP attack

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court charged with burglary and assaulting an elderly woman.

Jason Mace, of West Common Crescent, Scunthorpe, is alleged to have attacked the woman on 23 July.

The woman was found outside her home in West Common Gardens suffering from head injuries at 14:45 BST.

Mace appeared at Grimsby Crown Court where he was remanded into custody ahead of his next appearance at the same court on 18 October.
