A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a 51-year-old who was found stabbed at his home in Hull.

Keith Opray was found dead in Wareham Close, Bransholme, at about 15:15 GMT on Saturday.

Duncan Heaton, 40, of St Ives Close, Hull, appeared at the city's crown court charged with Mr Opray's murder and a further charge of robbery.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court again on 4 April.

Family devastated

A 28-year-old man from Hull arrested on Wednesday has been bailed pending further inquiries, Humberside Police said.

A further two men, aged 39 and 44, who were both arrested on suspicion of murder, remain on bail.

Det Ch Insp Matt Hutchinson said Mr Opray's death had left his family "devastated".

He renewed an appeal for sightings of a man carrying a large black fabric holdall bag with wheels between Midmere Avenue and Wawne Road in Bransholme on Friday or Saturday.

Officers are carrying out a search of the area and distributing appeal leaflets to local residents, he added.
