Goole jogger, 64, killed in crash on M62 bridge

A jogger who was hit by a car near a motorway in Goole has died.

Humberside Police said the crash, which involved a blue Volkswagen Polo, happened on Monday afternoon at about 17:05 BST.

The 64-year-old man from Goole was jogging on the A614 Boothferry Road bridge, which crosses the M62 at Airmyn, when he was hit by the car.

Humberside Police said paramedics tried to revive him but he died while being airlifted to hospital.

The driver of the car, an 18-year-old local man, was not injured.

Humberside Police has appealed for witnesses to the accident.
