Man in court over Seaton farm murder

A 21-year-old man has appeared in court charged with murdering a riding instructor who was found dead at a farm in East Yorkshire.

The body of 59-year-old Fiona Southwell was found at Grange Farm in Goxhill Lane, near Seaton, at about 19:00 BST on Friday.

Daniel David Edwards, of King Street, Hornsea, appeared at Beverley Magistrates' Court.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Hull Crown Court on Friday.

Friends have described Ms Southwell, a keen artist, as having a "real affinity" with horses.
