A cancer nurse has been cleared of trying to kidnap a 16-year-old girl with the intention of abusing her.

Michael Ohaegbu, 42, was accused of trying to drag the teenager into his car last September.

He was acquitted by a jury at Hull Crown Court of attempted kidnap, assault and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence.

The jury failed to reach a verdict on three counts of voyeurism relating to another complainant.

Mr Ohaegbu, of Chestnut Avenue, who worked at Castle Hill Hospital, was accused of twice filming the second complainant naked, and once under a table at a restaurant, without her consent between July and August last year.

The judge dismissed the jury and said he would give the prosecution until Wednesday to consider how it wanted to proceed with the three remaining charges.
