Staff suspended at the Wyvern School amid inquiry

Up to three members of staff have been suspended at a special school in Kent.

An investigation is under way after what council officials have called "serious allegations" were made by a parent of a pupil.

The investigation at the Wyvern School in Ashford is being carried out under the terms of the Kent and Medway Safeguarding Children Procedures.

A spokesman for Kent County Council said: "We are taking the allegations very seriously."

He added: "These are being investigated in line with the Kent and Medway Child Protection procedures.

"This investigation is ongoing and we are unable to comment further at this time."
