Man, 18, injured in Dover shooting
An 18-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a shooting in Dover in Kent.
Kent Police said officers were called to the Barton Road and Frith Road area at about 2000 GMT on Monday following reports a man had been shot.
A spokeswoman for the force said a man had received a single gunshot wound and was in a stable condition in hospital.
The A256 Barton road has been closed in both directions near the Connaught Road junction while officers investigate.
The shooting is believed to have happened near Dover Grammar School for Girls.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called... at about 8pm and an 18-year-old male was conveyed to the William Harvey Hospital.
"We do not have any details of his injuries."
