Man injured in knifepoint robbery at Margate store
A supermarket assistant manager was left with a cut to his neck following a knifepoint robbery at a store in Margate, Kent.
Kent Police said two men dressed in dark clothes forced their way into the staff area of Aldi in Zion Place, Cliftonville, on Monday.
The pair held a knife to the assistant manager's throat, forced him to unlock the store's safe and then stole cash.
The force has appealed for anyone with information to contact officers.
Det Con Paul Francklin, of Kent Police, said: "A young man in the car park came forward to staff at the time saying that he had seen the two offenders running away.
"This man had gone by the time police arrived and we would very much like to speak to him and anyone else who may have witnessed anything of a suspicious nature in the vicinity that afternoon."
