Ramsgate woman injured in flats fire fall
A woman has been taken to hospital after she was injured in an 8ft (2.4m) fall from a fire on the first floor of a 16-storey block of flats in Kent.
About 40 firefighters tackled the blaze in Newcastle Hill, Ramsgate, which started just before 1648 GMT on Monday.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the woman's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
Four others, including two elderly people, were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
Firefighters managed to contain the fire to the flat where it started and it was out by 1736 GMT, but crews remained on the scene for a further hour.
Residents evacuated from the first floor flats had to stay with friends and relatives overnight, but were able to return home on Tuesday.
Fire officers are investigating the cause of the blaze.
