Motorcyclist killed in road crash in Rainham

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash involving two other vehicles in north Kent.

The 44-year-old man, from Rainham, suffered fatal injuries when his bike collided with two cars in Bloors Lane, Rainham at about 0740 GMT on Friday.

Kent Police said he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man suffered minor injuries in the crash.

The force has appealed for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact officers.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "The A2 London Road is currently closed in both directions and is likely to be for some time.

"There is a considerable amount of traffic congestion and drivers are advised to avoid the area where possible."
