Man charged with 1986 Folkestone rape

A man has been charged with the rape of a woman in Kent 24 years ago.

Martin Frank Eke was charged after the crime was reinvestigated by detectives working on cold case reviews.

The 46-year-old, of Douglas Road, in Tonbridge, is due to appear at Channel Magistrates Court, in Folkestone, on Thursday 14 April.

A woman in her 20s was raped near Folkestone West railway station on 2 October 1986 as she walked home from a night out with friends.
