Fire breaks out at derelict building in Margate

Fire crews have been tackling a blaze at a derelict building in east Kent.

About 60 firefighters were called to the site in Hawley Street, Margate, just after 1630 BST.

Fire engines from six stations, along with eight vehicles from Canterbury and Margate and support units, were sent to the scene.

No-one is believed to have been injured in the incident. Kent Fire and Rescue said the cause of the fire would be the subject of an investigation.
