Boy arrested over attempted armed robbery in Ramsgate

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested following an attempted armed robbery in east Kent.

Kent Police said two males threatened staff with what is believed to be an imitation gun at Coral bookmakers in Grange Road, Ramsgate.

Staff refused to hand over any cash and the suspects fled the betting shop.

Detectives said a 17-year-old boy was being questioned about the incident. The force has appealed for information about the raid at 1600 BST on Thursday.
