Cannabis plants worth £50,000 seized on Sheppey

Hundreds of cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to £50,000 have been seized by Kent Police.

Officers raided a warehouse on an industrial estate in Queenborough on the Isle of Sheppey on Friday.

A spokeswoman for Kent Police said 403 mature cannabis plants were seized at the address, which was also raided 18 months ago.

She said cannabis plants were seized in the previous raid. An inquiry was launched but no-one arrested.

Appealing for information, she said the cannabis plants were found in a unit at Thorndale Business Park.
